Imagine that you are touring alone in a foreign country. And just saw a place, and you don't have any idea what it is. You can just take a photo of it with your mobile camera, and search by image on google for all the information you need about that eyesight. IT'S AMAZING no?
You will need no tourist guide this way.
I have tried this with a picture of the nativity church in Bethlehem, Palestine. Firstable I uploaded the picture church from outside, which is very famous and for sure you would get many information about it. But then I thought of uploading another interior photo of details inside the church which is not really known....and guess what? I got information related to that photo..the interior picture was for the Altar of the nativity, but I got results for the Nativity Church. But that's still great, because when you click on the Wikipedia link for instance it will take you to the photo you searched for and gives you the information about that certain photo.
That was just an example. Think of all other things that you may see and get information about them without the need for anyone except GOOGLE!
I have loads of flowers in my garden which I never knew their names although I asked many people. But after I recognized "google search by image" I have got the names and all the information I wanted about them.
That's the real revolution.
